Peter was released from the hospital on Sunday. He joined his parents and sisters at my house that afternoon and he was running about and having a good time, so he improved quickly. Thankfully he didn’t have pneumonia. He is looking and acting more like his old self all the time. Now it’s back to living at the Ronald McDonald House and working to raise those blood counts.
What GREAT news, glad to hear you are doing so much better. Hopefully your counts will start rising and then you will really be feeling GREAT !!!!
You get plenty of rest and have fun at the Ronald McDonald house with your sisters being there too.
We think of you so often and as always you are in our constant prayers
Keep up the good fight Peter and look forward to hearing more good news.
Love,
Uncle Chuck and Aunt Rose

Hello my dear friend~
I, too, am glad to hear that your hospital visit was short!! I am sure it is much more fun at Uncle Matt’s and the RMcDH!! I will keep my fingers crossed that your counts start to soar high! Hang in there, big guy – you are doing everything just exactly as you should be!!
We had a WHOLE BUNCH of “sidewalk chalk messages” for you all over the driveway – but the latest rain we had erased them all! I hope the “dust” get sent your way and that our messages of hope and healing found their way into your heart! 🙂
Ellie & Kate are coming over today and tomorrow! I think I will just send your birthday surprises with your daddy tomorrow… so that means when he gets back to the cities tomorrow – he should have some gifts for you and Ellie! Hmmm… should you open them early?? Or wait till your birthday?? 🙂
Thinking of you and loving you very much~

Eigners – so glad Peter is out of the hospital and feeling better! Our family thinks of you all so often, and I check this site daily for progress to report back to keep them informed. We hope you can all enjoy this nice weather, and that the sunshine helps to boost energy and spirits!
Hey Peter – do you remember the hockey stick you autographed for us at your benefit party last Fall? Well, that night our kids decided that we couldn’t use it until you’re completely better. And you know what? Luke is now thinking that he’ll be using that new stick at hockey camp this summer! (the girls would have fought him for it, but they shoot right, and it’s a left-handed stick! 🙂 ) Is that optimism, or what?!? It will be a great day when that stick comes out of the closet and hits the ice!!!!
You’re in our continued prayers for a full and speedy recovery! God Bless you all,
The Swansons
(Cary, Lori, Luke, Brooke and Erica)
Enjoy this sunshine, tough guy. Still praying for those blood counts to go up. Praying like a warrior.
Hi Peter, Ty and Erica
We are so happy to know that Peter is out of the hospital. I think our prayers are being heard.
We get a little newspaper here called the Northland Press, and today there is an article about a little boy named Logan Fogarty of Breezy Point
that was diagnosed in November 2006 with Neuroblastoma. He was 6 months old. They are now in the long battle and he is going through chemotherapy for the next four months.
I know that you have alot to deal with but if you would like to contact them, there is a website at http://www.CARINGBRIDGE.org and enter the name”loganfogarty.”
Brooke asks me about Peter all the time and always asks me if he is feeling better. Hope to see you soon!!!! You, as you know are in our prayers every day.
Much Love to all of you
Tom and Judy
Uncle Matt,
Could you please relist your home address so that we can send Peter something through you or list the mailing address for Peter. We really appreciate your update and “the delivery service”. Thanks again.

To all the family — We have followed Peter’s progress all winter and are so glad he is able to have some fun now. And, you can get a little breather. You all seem so strong through this. Our prayers will continue. Mary & Bruce
Hi Peter,
I know it has been a while since I last wrote, but I wanted you to know that you have been in my thoughts contstantly since I first found out about your illness. The hockey team I coach, the Pomfret School Griffins, wore “Keep Fighting Pete” stickers on their helmets this past season, and I am finally today getting around to mailing a check to your benefit fund. While I wish the check could be for a bigger amount, you should know that every single member of the team contributed, and that we had your picture and your story posted in our locker room. (By the way, I am sorry that Carl Sneep’s team did not win the national championship, but they had a great year nonetheless.) Keep up the hard work; I am trying to send a couple of my players to your Uncle Chuck’s camp this summer, and maybe you can skate with them!
Hey Peter-
Were glad to hear that your back out of the hospital! Hopefully those counts rise soon. We like high counts!
Just wanted you to know we are thinking of you today, as we do everyday and praying for you to keep getting stronger everyday!
