A benefit for the Eigners is planned for Sunday, November 5th, at Bogart’s Place in Apple Valley from 7:00 PM until close. The cover charge will be a $10 donation and five excellent bands will be entertaining, including GB Leighton and Tim Mahoney. I’ll provide more specifics in the next few days. Come on out! It should be a fun time.
Peter’s status remains positive as he recovers from the third round of chemo. His counts are low and may have bottomed out at this point, but there’s a decent chance he’ll have to head back to the hospital for a transfusion. However, our little buddy is still upbeat and energetic and that makes me upbeat and energetic.
Hey Peter, Well your Vikings did a good job today. I’m sure you and your Dad watched it. And what did you think of the Gophers and the Bison yesterday? Who were you cheering for?
I could have used your help today. I was racking leaves and I had some pretty big piles. You would have had fun jumping in them. I still have a lot more to rack.
I hear Ellie has a big girl bed now. Is she excited about it? And how is Kate? Is she walking yet? I’m going to come up to see you this week. I miss all three of you.

I didn’t get to talk to you too much before we got on the bus at the Oktoberfest on Saturday. I thought we might bump into you somewhere out there but no such luck. I had a good time on Saturday, how about you? The juggler was great . Did you get to see him juggle the fire sticks? Way cool. Lots of kids had twisted up balloons. Did you and Ellie get one? I bet your dad enjoyed a German beer but I thought it was too cold for me, so I had hot apple cider. I thought about roasting a smore but the line was kind of long we decided not to. There are sure a lot of fun things to do in the fall aren’t there. I hope that you are feeling well enough to do all the fun things that you can think of!!!!!! Just a note to say hello from Denver. Your Dad left me a message and said you guys watched our game last night against the Kings. It was a fun game for us. Joe has been flying and scoring lots in the last few games. We play Ovechkin and the Capitals tomorrow and then the Wild come into town for a game on Sunday. They are sure playing well.
We come back to play the Wild on November 18th and hope you will be able to come watch the game and wear your Sakic jersey. I showed Joe the picture of you with the Sakic jersey on. He said he looks forward to seeing you when we come to Minny.
