Critical

It’s 7:00 PM CST. Peter is in critical condition. The pneumonia is attacking both lungs. He’s going on a ventilator for a minimum of two weeks, as they throw every antibiotic possible into him. He will not be responsive for some time.

They’re trying to get him back into ICU. I don’t know what else to write. Just pray.

    I was going to call but thought better of it after talking to Dino. Just want you to know that what ever could be said and felt is being sent your way through this email. You are both aware of all our feelings. The amount of love, emotions and feelings that have been generated through this past year cannot be measured, but it can, and should be, documented.

    Knowing how much others care and understand your pain is as meaningful as any words we might get through over the phone.

    We are aware of all that has happened in the last few minutes and want you to know that everyone here is thinking of you and praying for you to come out of this. I have never witnessed so much love for a person as I have with you, Peter, and that comes from the bottom of my heart.

    You have generated more “love” in one year than most generate in a life time. I see the impact around this camp because of all that know you and it is enough to bring a person to their knees.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom and Dad and sisters; as well as your entire support system. Your situation makes most every problem seem very insignificant.

    I am praying for you every second of everyday big guy. i know God has a plan for you. you are one strong boy and i know you can get through this critical chapter of your life. you have made it through so much already. everyone is praying for you.   23. It’s too hard to type with tears flooding my eyes… not to mention the fact that I don’t even know how to say what my heart is feeling right now. My heart aches so bad right now….
    Thanks for the hug before you left for NYC last Tuesday, Peter. I love you as much as I love my own kids…. hang in there, my sweet boy.
    I will pray for a better tomorrow. I understand your sisters and grandparents will be flying out to see you in the morning. Hopefully their presence will help you heal….
